Please join WHA in honoring Lara Khouri, MBA, MPH, Senior Vice President and Chief Srategy Officer of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Medical Group.
Lara Khouri is Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles Medical Group. She leads strategic planning and development of strategic partnerships for the enterprise. She also works with the hospital and its physicians to develop a system of care for children in Los Angeles and beyond. This includes the development and performance management of our primary care and community provider networks and associated governance structures. Through affiliation, acquisition and partnership across the continuum — from primary care to post-acute care — she works to assure access to patient and family-centered care that is seamless, high-quality and cost-effective. She joined the CHLA Enterprise in 2015.
From 2009 to 2015, Khouri was executive director of the Boston Children’s Hospital Integrated Care Organization (CHICO) and senior director of Integrated Care and Strategic Partnerships at Boston Children’s Hospital. In this role, she oversaw the implementation of accountable care delivery, including quality and cost performance measurement and improvement as well as development and implementation of integrated care models and value-based payment models.
Khouri was the founding program director of the Healthy Weight Program at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia from 2005 to 2009. She was a lecturer in health policy and management at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health from 2004 through 2014.
Khouri earned a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Public Health from Columbia University; she has an undergraduate degree in geography and economics from George Washington University.
