|Make the most of your WHA membership by getting involved! Getting involved can be as simple as helping out at the event registration table, inviting a friend or a colleague to attend a WHA event, suggesting a newsletter article idea, or asking your organization to become an Annual or Event Sponsor.
Here are some ways you can get involved with WHA, as well as email addresses you can use to let us know of your interest.
The Advisory Board is a standing committee of the Board of Directors, which makes recommendations and provides key information on matters relating to the strategic planning of the organization. Examples of matters upon which the Advisory Board consults include:
- Increasing membership and participation of senior-level women health executives;
- Enhancing WHA’s public profile; and
- Enhancing members’ educational opportunities.
Advisory Board members have at least 10 years experience in the healthcare industry and are appointed by the Board of Directors for two-year terms.

The Events Committee produces the educational, social, and networking programs for WHA’s events and periodic workshops. Committee members assist with planning, marketing, and execution of WHA events. The committee meets by teleconference on a monthly or bi-monthly basis.

The Membership Committee is responsible for ongoing recruitment of new members, reviewing applications for membership, and updating the Membership Directory. You can help with developing and executing strategies for reviewing and retaining members.
