Please join WHA for a Holiday Volunteering Event with the Venice Family Clinic! This event is open to WHA members and their guests.
We will be helping to collect, transport, and unload all of the books and toys left over after the Children’s Holiday Movie.
Volunteers will meet the Clinic Staff at the Howard Hughes Center, load the moving truck with toys and books, and then unload the truck at the Clinic. These toys and books will then be distributed to pediatric patients that were unable to attend the event throughout the weeks of December.
As always, we will also discuss healthcare, our careers, and how WHA fits into our professional development!
Registration Fee
No registration fee. If you volunteer, we will provide a code to register for WHA’s Annual Holiday Party for $10 off!
Additional Information
Location & Parking:
We will first meet at the movie theater to load all the extra toys and books into the moving van and then will travel independently to Venice Family Clinic to help unload and sort the extra materials.
Attire:
Please wear comfortable, close-toed shoes appropriate for heavy lifting. Also, we encourage you to wear festive holiday attire!
Physical Requirements:
This volunteer activity requires some heavy lifting — boxes should not be more than 50 lb each so it may require 2 people loading/unloading each box.
28th Annual Children’s Holiday Movie Donations:
The Venice Family Clinic hopes to raise over $140,000 to continue to provide quality healthcare to their most vulnerable patients through the 28th Annual Children’s Holiday Movie; if you would like to donate, feel free to use the following link: http://www.vfcshop.com/collections/children-s-holiday-movie.
