Please join Women in Health Administration on October 27th for a speaker presentation on Breast Cancer Treatment and Awareness. We will be joined by two breast cancer surgeons who have extensive experience treating women and are actively involved in clinical research to fight breast cancer. We will also be joined by a survivor of breast cancer to share a patient perspective.

Our Speakers:

• Erin Lin, DO: Board-certified surgeon who specializes in breast health promotion and breast surgical treatment at the UC Irvine Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center in Orange and the UC Irvine Health Pacific Breast Care Center in Costa Mesa. Dr. Lin has expertise in both benign and malignant tumor lumpectomy and mastectomy surgeries, using techniques that minimize scarring and preserve skin and nipples. She is also a co-researcher into the use of MarginProbe for intraoperative cancer margin assessment and noninvasive diffuse optical spectroscopy for early breast cancer detection. 

• Alice Police, MD: Surgeon at UC Irvine Health Pacific Breast Care Center in Costa Mesa. Dr. Police specializes in treating patients with breast cancer. Although primarily a clinician, she also is the principal investigator on a national clinical trial of MarginProbe, a technology developed to assess lumpectomy margins in real time in order to determine whether any cancer tissue remains
  

Dinner will be from 6:30PM – 7:00PM followed by a panel from 7:00PM – 8:00PM. Parking can be found at the visitor parking site and is completely free. We hope to see you there!
